Brigada Sining: Arts Teaching for Young Aetas

Brigada Sining, one of the ten mini-services of 4K [RE]solution, is an arts teaching service that aims to foster the interest of the young Aetas in Sitio Haduan and to develop their basic skills in different forms of arts like drawing, coloring, painting, and paper folding. It included giving of art materials which the young Aetas can use during the art classes and for their studies in the upcoming academic year.

07/19/2022: The Brigada Sining and Brigada Pagbasa kick-started the project by giving school and art materials to young Aetas. A total of 160 young Aetas benefited from it.

07/26/2022: The Brigada Sining art sessions started with basic drawing and sketching lessons, where the young Aetas learned different lines, curves, and shapes. The Rover Scouts taught how these simple figures create forms and develop into drawings. The young Aetas applied their learning through practice drawing and sketching and an activity to create their own name tags.

08/02/2022: The art session continued with teaching the young Aetas basic coloring, where Rover Scouts and Service Volunteers discussed color and color combinations. The young Aetas applied their learnings, including the drawing and sketching from last week, through an activity where they were asked to draw and color something they really want or love. The session ended with the young Aetas showcasing their artwork to everyone.

08/09/2022: The art session focused on paper folding, where the Rover Scouts and Service Volunteers taught the young Aetas how to make paper planes and boats. The young Aetas made their own paper planes and boats and even tried to create a paper crane. The Rover Scouts and Service Volunteers afterward facilitated an activity where the young Aetas were able to play with their folded arts.
