About Scouts for SDGs

Welcome to the Scouts for SDGs hub: a virtual tent gathering Scouts from over 176 countries to create a better world!

Each of us has the power to make a positive impact, and that's why this hub offers opportunities for Scouts like you to explore, grow, and give back in your own unique ways. After all, as Scouts, we are bound by a promise and a law to do our best, to help others, and to make the world a better place.

Every Scouts for SDGs initiative takes us on a journey with lots of activities and opportunities to learn about and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). You’ll find activities and challenges under the themes of:

  • Peace and community
  • Environment and sustainability
  • Health and well-being
  • Life skills

Under each of these themes, you’ll find challenges you can take on. These challenges have activities and practical steps for you to start learning, solving problems and earning badges related to the SDGs.

So, grab your phone or computer, put on your Scout scarf, and get ready to join us in creating a better world!

Where do I begin?

Here at the Scouts for SDGs hub, there's so much you can do! It’s like a hiking trail just waiting to be explored. You'll find all sorts of paths to take, some even have footprints from other Scouts who can guide and inspire you with their stories!

To start, check out how Scouts around the world are contributing to the SDGs by seeing their stories and pictures! Then, check out each initiative and its challenges to find your area of interest.

When you’re ready to get started, visit “Take Action” where you can:

  • Take a WOSM challenge, do activities and a community project, and receive the digital or physical badge
  • Try out activities from our catalogue with your Scout Group
  • Submit a project you’ve already done in your community
  • Submit a blog post about your Scouting activities

So, what are you waiting for? We can't wait to see what you'll discover and achieve on your journey with Scouts for SDGs!
