
Sustainable Development Village by Bangladesh Scouts !
10th Bangladesh National and 3rd SAANSO Scout Jamboree was planned in a very efficiently under the high supervision of Bangladesh Scouts National Headquarter, which is for the first time SDG has been involved with the Jamboree program in the history of World Scout Activities.
This whole program have been fully monitored,logisted and volunteered 24 hours by the Rovers of 13th Hussars Open Rover Scout Group,a renowned Rover Scout Group with the highest number of Top ACHIEVING Scouts in Bangladesh.
Enhancing SDGs to the scouts, directed in more advanced way, Implementing it vastly, it was easier at the SDV(Sustainable Development Village) in 10th Bangladesh National and 3rd SAANSO Scout Jamboree. Most probably this is the first time among the world scout activities in which GDV has been converted into SDV.
The Scouts participated in the activity in two different manners.
A knowledge based activity is the first one, by which scouts ensures the importance of SDGs, creating interests on the subjects ,how to be aware of working it in a active and adhesive manner.
Another one is the,how the different NGOs,INGOs e.t.c of Bangladsh Government are implementing SDGs in different sectors and how the scouts could be a part of it.
In this activity, more than 10,000 (about 1500 scouts visited SDV in each day of the Jamboree as a must program of the Jamboree)scouts and leaders from all over the Bangladesh attended the Jamboree as a result they obliged about what would be their visions, aims, duties and responsibilities to the nations and they got the chance to work on it .
In SDV,50 different organizations,NGOs,INGOs of Bangladesh Government participated. And by this participations the scouts got the chance to know and work about the 17 SDGs and the 169 targets of it.
