SERIES OF INTERACTIVE YOUTH DIALOGUES LAUNCHES THIS #YOUTHDAY

On the occasion of International Youth Day, our young planning team of the World Scout Youth Forum will be hosting a series of online dialogues to discuss the role of young people in shaping the new reality caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The series titled, “Youth Dialogues: Shaping a new reality”, is a platform for all young people aged 18-26 to join interactive discussions covering a range of issues to shape the new ‘new normal.’ Youth Dialogues will launch its opening session today, marking International Youth Day and will livestreamed on World Scouting's Facebook page. The series will feature eight Youth Dialogues covering a range of topics from education and peace building to environmental action and innovation. Partner organisations will make appearances in some of the dialogues until they conclude on 14 November 2020. The Youth Dialogues series will: - enable young leaders to share their visions and ideas on how to strengthen youth involvement in shaping the new reality; - inspire young people to take action at the local level to help build the new normal in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals and be agents of change in their communities; and - identify, discuss and promote youth involvement mechanisms and platforms at all levels.
