Golden Eagle Open Air Scout Group Bangladesh Scouts, Kurmitola District Air organized 5th March 2021 Mujib Centenary Day-Camp 2021 at Bangladesh Folk and Crafts Foundation Sonargaon Narayanganj.

25 km east of the capital Dhaka, Sonargaon attracts tourists with its greenery and beautiful architectural style and natural beauty in the greenery of Banani with its shadow-calling, bird-calling, heart-touching natural environment. Associated with this Sonargaon is a remarkable memory of a golden chapter of the golden past. There is disagreement over the naming of Sonargaon. According to researchers, the ancient name of Sonargaon was Subarnabithi or Subarnagram. The name Sonargaon of the Muslim period originated from this Subarnagram.

"There is a proverb", this place came to be known as Subarnagram because of the golden rain that fell in this region during the reign of Maharaja Jayadhwaj. Some say that Sonargaon was named after Sonabibi, the wife of Bar Bhuiyan chief Isa Khan.

The camp was attended by 60 Cubs, Scouts, Rovers, Leaders and Guardians of the group. Group President Mr. ASM Mahbubur Rahman, Group Secretary and Founder Scout Md. Bappi, Group Scout Leader Scout Amir Hossain Chowdhury and Advocate Bokhari Rabbi Woodbazar and Camp Chief Mujib Centenary Day-Camp 2021 were also present at the day-camp. In addition to various activities at the camp, Cubs, Scouts, Rovers visit Sonargaon Museum, Panam Nagar, and visit Bangladesh Folk Festival Fair.
Some of the interesting events for everyone in the camp were pillow games, kims games, quiz competitions.
