Installed organic farming in community school

Report on Organic Farming

Last year it was one of the workshop time I heard about EM solution for organic farming. I went around and found that it will really boost our SAP (School Agriculture Programme). The big picture of today came to benefit the community school’s agriculture programme.

Soil health is the key to producing a good yield whether it is pasture, crops or vegetables. Research has shown that applying EM to the soil/plant ecosystem can improve soil quality, soil health, and the growth, yield, and quality of crops. Also when used in animal systems similar benefits have been shown.

Then I planned to train school teachers which will benefit the community directly or indirectly by teaching the chikldren. On 21st Februray I met the principal of the Damphu Central school. I asked vervally the permission to get training from his teacher on EM solution. He agreed by saying me to write a letter to his administration. after the celebration of his majesty’s birth day I went back to school and shared the good news to my manager which was agreed with a smile. On 4th March school  principal wrote a letter to DCS principal.

On 9th March, 2019 We moved to Damphu central school for the training. The topic covere during training are:

1. What is EM solution?

2. How it is made?

3.Advantages of EM solutiuon.

4.How to use it?

After the training we were taken around the school campus to show the impact of EM solution. We could see the impact and got really inspired in learning of EM solution. We were also given the EM solution to use in school agriculture garden. After reaching school we agreed to meet on Sunday to make the solution. On Sunday we all met and made the solution as trained earlier. We could make as a team. We all got inspired by the knowledge we got. I thanked school principal and teachers for the cooperation in learning about EM solution.
