Facilitating the Training of Trainers Scouts of the World Award

As a member of the National Programme Committee of the Persekutuan Pengakap Malaysia (PPM), I facilitated the running of the Training of Trainers, Scout of the World Award (SWA) National Workshop 2019 at PPM's Headquarters. I was a part of a 12-man team led by the National Headquarters Commissioner for Scouts of the World Award and together we helped train and produce 16 National Trainers that would in turn return to their respective states and spearhead the SWA programme there to the grassroots level.

I conducted the Ice-Breaking session, implemented the 'Eurorail' activity when conducting a slot on stereotypes and prejudice and also assisted another partner in conducting the 'Hydroelectric Plant' activity that was on problem-solving. I was also given the responsiblitly of teaching the participants how to use the 'Force Field Analysis' method to finalise a decision.

I am very grateful to have been a part of this team as eventhough I was the one conducting and teaching, I learned many things from the participants myself. I believe with this workshop done and the birth of 16 National Trainers, the SWA programme will reach leaps and bounds in the year 2020.
