Am thankful to our District Organiser Scout Bharat Scouts and Guides District Association Udupi, Karnataka State, India - Nithin Amin sir for giving this opportunity at "One Day Adventure Programme" for Adani Groups of members at BSG District Training Centre Alevoor, Pragatinagara , Udupi District Karnataka State, India. Where I used to be service ranger and have been given the knowledge about scouting skills. One thing I noticed that everyone is shown keen interest in these activities and enthusiastic to learn so many things about scouting in one day , I have told them to join their children in Scouting and they will teach uh or uh may be the members of BSG. One of mam from Nagpur Maharashtra in adventure Base said that they will spread my message to every neighbourhood and she will joins her 3 children in Scouting . It was really a amazing Sunday (16/02/2020) where with co-rovers and Rangers we served in One day Adventure come Hiking Programme where thrilling & marvelous adventure activities like Shooting, archery, Bridge crossing, Commondo Crossing, Rope Bridge Balancing etc were gone adventurussly. . It was amazing that in hiking we had given a task to participants like : Asking Service Rovers and Rangers name to them , Naming plants around them . I get activity of "APPIKO" which means Chipko- (Hugging the Tree )(Which was started at the foothills of Himalayas by Sunderlal Bahuguna, a noted environmentalist in 1970's about the protection and conservation of trees and forests from being destroyed -villagers used to hug the trees and protect them from wood cutters from cutting them.) I used to tell the participants to hug the tree and promise to plant at least one tree in the memory of this one day hike towards the nature. .they have promised and told that they will plant a tree and nurture it and will not harm the nature.
