One World, One Scout Family: JOTA-JOTI 2025
Jamboree on the Air and Jamboree on the Internet (JOTA-JOTI) 2025 was a memorable global Scouting event that connected young people from different countries through digital communication and friendship. During the event, we had the opportunity to interact with Scouts from Ukraine, Japan, Brazil, Cyprus, and several other nations.
The discussions focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the role of young people in creating a better world. Scouts shared inspiring stories about their community service projects related to climate action, environmental protection, quality education, clean water, responsible consumption, and sustainable communities.
A significant part of our interaction was dedicated to the theme of Peace and International Understanding. Scouts from different cultural backgrounds exchanged ideas on how Scouting promotes unity, respect, and cooperation among people. Hearing the experiences of Scouts from Ukraine highlighted the importance of peace, resilience, and hope during challenging times. Scouts from Japan shared their efforts in disaster preparedness and community service, while participants from Brazil and Cyprus spoke about environmental conservation and youth-led social initiatives.
Through meaningful conversations, cultural exchanges, and collaborative discussions, we discovered that although we come from different countries, we are united by the common values of Scouting—friendship, service, leadership, and peace. The event strengthened global connections and inspired all participants to work together towards achieving the SDGs.
JOTA-JOTI 2025 proved that technology can bring young people together across continents, enabling them to learn from one another and become active global citizens committed to creating a peaceful and sustainable future.
