Bharat Scouts and Guides District Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir) arranged drinking water, face masks and food service were arranged for the passengers of Shramik Special trains running from Katra railway station carrying migrant Biharis and other state migrants, as per the instructions of the District Administration at Modi Ground, Battal Ballian It is to be noted that due to global epidemic corona virus, the country-wide lock-down on various routes by the Indian Railways to take about 1084 Migrant Bihari laborers and migrants from other states to their destination in different parts of the country due to the closure of factories and employment. In this sequence, nearly dozens of labor special trains are being run daily from Katra railway station. Drinking water and food services were provided to nearly thousands of passengers under the leadership of District Joint Secretary Rakesh Sharma in Bharat Scouts and Guides District Udhampur. The program was coordinated by Scouters and Guiders of district Udhampur ie Amardev Singh, Ajay Kumar, Rakesh Singh, Vivek Gupta, Vikram Gupta and Guide Captain Priyanka Sharma and other Scouts members. During the service program, all the standards directed to prevent infection of Covid-19 coronavirus were taken into account and social distancing was completely followed including the use of masks, hand gloves, net caps and sanitizers etc. Train passengers expressed happiness for this service met with Scouts Cadets during the hot summer trip and also appreciated the service spirit and readiness of the organization.
