TreePlanting#UpliftingFurniture#38thColomboScouts

Trees provided us with many benefits necessary for survival, including clean air, access to clean water, shade, and food. so I wanted to plant medicinal and rare plants. and also I wanted to uplift furniture of the Damma School to help children learning there.
In order to complete the requirements listed for my President’s Scout Award, I have decided to run a community service project. In relevant to that, I had chosen to held a tree planting project at Hellenagala Aranya Senasanaya, Meegoda . We planted more than 60 medicinal and rare plants there. In addition to that we cleaned Dhamma school building and paint desks and chairs at Sri Saddhathissa Damma School located in same temple which was beneficial towards the children.
As the Trees promote health and social wellbeing by removing air pollution, reducing stress and many more, my tree planting programme is benefited for everyone. By cleaning Dhamma school building and painting furniture of it , more than 100 children were benefited.
When working on the project, I learnt to manage obstacle more effectively, how to work better in group.
