Tree of Hopes

Taiwan is safe and not safe. We usually try to shield our children from the threats from China or the instability that we feel all the time. However, I also wonder if this is the right thing to do, is it correct to let them believe this world is a beautiful and peaceful place when other children are suffering from bombing and inequality?

在團集會中,特別安排了和平日紀念活動,將童軍分為兩小隊,幼童軍分為四小隊,提供一個繪本故事書給各小隊,書本有:兩個衛兵,誰都不准通過,黑象與白象,和平樹,馬拉拉的魔法鉛筆,馬拉拉。給予各小隊10分鐘進行閱讀與討論後,由各小隊分享故事與發表感想,並由服務員引導到更深層的反思。結束後則讓童軍與幼童軍將自己的和平宣言寫在便利貼上,除了錄影宣達外,也貼到和平樹上。

原以為團內孩子應該是很天真無憂的,父母關心也能受到良好的教育,但透過宣言的撰寫,發現孩子們注意到的比我們多,大人不擔心的台海問題其實也影響了他們,還沒出社會工作的女孩也會擔心同工不同酬的狀況,讓人深思是他們值得接受更多的挑戰,我們服務員也要更努力的提供協助。
