On 1-9 July in 2017 “Wonderland Azerbaijan 2017” international scout camp was held in Gabala. It is traditional annual international scout camp which is organized by the Association of Scouts of Azerbaijan every year. One sub-camp was “Scouts to the South” sub-camp in Wonderland. School leaders, newfound leaders and their patrols of 5 selected districts of the Southern Region (Bilasuvar, Lankaran, Masallı, Lerik, Yardımlı) involved in different activities of the weekly scout camp under the supervision of experienced leaders. Patrols took part in seminars, workshops and interactive games. They practiced scout life, some survival skills during the camp. Also patrols participated in different trainings such as archery, camp preparation, first aid, environmental education, finding the right way out of an emergency situation, a joint activity of the teams, the activities of the Scout Method and etc. Aproaxmantly 74 participants and patrol leaders participated as a separate sub-camp in Gabala. They learned how to organize scout camps and how to promote scouting in their regions.
