Scouts Re-energizing #gineproskopos (be a Scout)
Since March 11, 2020, when the World Health Organization declared Covid 19 as a pandemic, Greece has spent ten months (out of the 18) with a strict lockdown, complete restriction of citizens' mobility, traffic ban and Soma Hellinon Proskopon, suspended its operation along with schools and other similar activities.
The whole project planned to contribute on the one hand to retain the existing members, on the other hand to attract 5,000 new members.
The project took place in many differnet places of Greece, where Scout Groups carried out outspring activities with overnight stays and 244 Adult Leaders participated in training for Scout Camps.
A team of 5 National Commissioners governed the project at all stages (financial, operational, on the field visitis etc.)
A social media campaign and radio promo took place the period from 20/9 to 10/11, resulting inmore than 150 locations throughout the country to carry out promotional activities as part of the weekly "OpenDays" and it is estimated that about 4,000 people were interested in being informed about the Scout Movement.
The project helped our Association to learn how to deal with a multi-task project, how to control activities and financials, and how to mobilize Adult Leaders to approach new members.
