Sanitary Napkins Distribution at Alekhargul. BPB.
In our neighborhood area Alekhargul Village, there are women who still uses old clothes during their monthly Mensuration Cycle. Keeping this in mind, We decided to go for an Awareness on Menstruation Hygiene and Sanitary Napkins distribution.
We made a team of 16 members and shared our proposal with the District Officials. They approved the idea and did the necessary arrangements. On 08/03/2024, on the occasion of Women's Day, we went to Alekhargul and gathered Women of local area. We communicated with them and did an awareness on Menstruation Hygiene and use of Sanitary Pads.
Later 200 packets of Sanitary Pads were distributed among the people and also we did door to door campaign for the people who were hesitating to come forward.
1. People were using dirty clothes during their monthly Mensuration Cycle due to lack of awareness.
2. Its still a taboo to talk about Pads or use them in some areas.
