REFURBISHMENT OF ROOF IN A SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS.
I have participated in the Messenger of peace group activities organized by Negombo District Scout Association at the “Seaborette” camp held on 2020.03.05 – 2020.03.09 in Kadol Uyana Ground Negombo. I learned a lot about Sustainable Development Goals from that event. Scouts must do a community service project which will be valuable for the future use of citizens.
Refurbishing the roof of the Studying hall in Katunayake M.V., Because the building was not in a usable condition due to the damages in the roof. Refurbishment of the building roof makes the place convenient for students to carry out their studies. Due to the hard work and better planning, my project was a success. Last but not least I would like to thank my team, my friends' parents for helping me throughout the project.
Building a better place for the students in Katunayake M.V. for their studies and making their future bright while contributing to developing valuable citizens to the country via quality education. Furthermore, Quality education and No poverty lead to Sustainable Development Goals to transform our world. More than 50 students will get benefits from the Building which was rebuilt. The building will be taken as a classroom for the Advance level students who do not have a class.
Whatsoever doing a community service project with finding the real need and organizing it and executing it, learning how to get the support of my colleagues within the scout group and other supporters makes me esteem satisfaction with myself. I really appreciate the cooperation that everyone displayed under such strenuous conditions, making the workflow simple and easy.
