Project School Agro Lab
Student teams surveyed the school campus to identify optimal planting zones, water sources, and soil quality. Using empathy maps and observation, they assessed the challenges of cultivating crops under local conditions, considering weather patterns, space limitations, and resource availability. Students then ideated creative solutions for maximizing garden productivity and accessibility for all learners.
Students applied their ideas by preparing soil beds, planting vegetables (okra, eggplant, pechay, sitaw, tomatoes, ampalaya, upo), and experimenting with innovative planting techniques. They created mini-prototypes such as vertical planters, compost bins, and irrigation systems, iterating based on what worked best in the school environment. Teachers and parents provided guidance, ensuring safety and feasibility.
The day ended with reflection sessions where students shared lessons learned, celebrated successes, and documented insights to improve future interventions.
