Project - "Aboron"

In the local area of Itbhata at Halisahar, people are malnourished, deficient of the basic necessities of life, food, clothing and shelter. This inspired us to undertake the initiative.
On 23rd January 2022, to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of the legendary hero of India, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, South Group of Kanchrapara District Association of Eastern Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides organized a Project called "Aboron" - Helping Hands in the Itbhata area of Halisahar locality to stand beside the needy people in distribution of clothes. More than 300 clothes were distributed to 100 needy people.
About 100 people were benefitted from this project. The Project will be a permanent initiative of South Group Unit. People have started joining hands with us and hopefully more people will join to help us and as a result we will be able to help more people.
We should stand beside needy people is what we have learned. To stand beside the people of our community is real Scouting.
