The program on sustainable waste management was organized at Baylling Central School, Trashiyangtse District by Evergreen Bhutan in coordination with District Environment Office where i work as the Environment Officer. The program was attended by more than 600 participants in total( students & teachers on 30/9/2017 & public of Yangtse town on 29/9/2017). The program was funded by IRI office based in Mongolia. During the program, the participants were created advocacy and awareness on waste management and educated them on the 3R's and importance of Segregation at source and taking responsibility of their own waste. The participants were also informed on the existing laws and acts on the waste management. After the advocacy and awareness program, a cleaning campaign was also conducted.
