Plastic-Free Environment Campaign
My motivation was to raise awareness among Scouts and Guides about the harmful effects of single-use plastic on the environment. Through the YLACC and Mission LiFE initiatives, I wanted to encourage students to reduce plastic use, adopt cloth bags, and develop eco-friendly habits. As Scouts, we have a responsibility to protect nature and contribute to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
A workshop on single-use plastic was organized at Government Senior Secondary School Multipurpose under YLACC and Mission LiFE. Through a PowerPoint presentation and videos, Scouts and Guides learned about plastic pollution and its harmful effects. Participants shared ideas to reduce plastic use and promote cloth bags for a cleaner environment.
I learned that single-use plastic causes long-term harm to the environment and wildlife. The workshop taught us the importance of reducing plastic use, adopting cloth bags, and spreading environmental awareness. I understood that small lifestyle changes can make a big difference in protecting nature and building a sustainable future.
