After our discovery, we the Scouts of Pagadian City Science High School and Saint Columban College volunteered to clean Barangay White Beach. We pick plastic rappers or anything that is plastic all over around the Beach and we collect 30 sacks of plastic garbage. Cleaning these areas up like what we did in Barangay White Beach has many benefits: You’re protecting animals, fish, birds, and plant life from the risks that the trash brings, and you’re also sending a message to other people that someone cares about this piece of water or land — that it’s not a place to dump their unwanted items.
