NADRO WEST CLUSTER INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE CELEBRATION

The Nadro West cluster celebrated International day of peace at Rahmatullah Khan Memorial School on Thursday 21st September 2017. It was attended by five of the ten schools in this cluster. The five schools attended were Lomawai Primary, Batiri Public, Tuva Primary, Rahmatullah Khan Memorial and Malomalo Primary school. Absent were Namata Primary, Wai District, Ratu Ilaisa Memoria, Naidiri Bay Khalsa and Nadroumai Primary school. The Chief Guest for the programme was Mr. Reaz Ullah the District commissioner of Nadroga Navosa District Scouts Council. He elaborated on the importance of peace, what it meant and how we can have a peaceful society. After the speech all the participants took the peace pledge which was led by Mr Chand. After the pledge all the participants were presented with a certificate and were given refreshments. After the refreshments they all went to plant their peace trees in their respective areas with their class teachers. The programme was graced by the presence of the visitors from New Zealand and Germany. Also present were the Medical Team of Sigatoka Hospital, School Students, Teachers and Parents. Bravo!
