Mission LiFE: Promoting Reusable Alternatives

Our motivation for participating in Mission LiFE: Promoting Reusable Alternatives comes from the belief that small individual actions can create a significant positive impact on the environment. The excessive use of single-use plastic is one of the major causes of pollution, harming ecosystems, wildlife, and human health. By encouraging the use of reusable alternatives such as cloth bags, we can reduce plastic waste and conserve natural resources.
As part of Mission LiFE and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, DAV School Scouts and Guides conducted an awareness drive against Single-Use Plastics (SUPs) at the railway station. Led by Scout Master Saurabh, they distributed cloth bags, encouraged passengers to avoid polythene, and spread the message "Say No to Plastic" through slogans and public interaction.
This project taught us that small actions, such as using cloth bags instead of single-use plastic, can make a significant difference in protecting the environment. We learned the importance of public awareness, responsible consumption, and sustainable lifestyle choices. The campaign also strengthened our communication, teamwork, and leadership skills while encouraging us to actively contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and plastic-free future.
