Brighton Venturers Outfit 1012 together with Roosevelt College Rodriquez Senior Scout Movement actively participated in the DENR's National Greening Program/Messengers of Peace Mangrove Planting last May 30, 2015 at Calatagan, Batangas. A total of 59 participants planted 1,060 mangroves in the beach of Brgy Talisay of the said municipality. Sctrs. Dexter Villa & Bernando G. De Leon of Brighton Venturers and Sctrs. Karl Lyel Lim & Avelino Santos of Roosevelt College headed the respective scouting units/ school. Ms. Julita Mustapha, DENR Bayanihan Desk Office, assisted the group by tapping the local People's Organization and the Community Environment & Natural Resources Office-Calaca to prepare the venue & mangroves. This activity is also earning the requirement of Ocean United Nations Challenge Badge and World Scout Environment Programme Badge.
