MANGROVE REFORESTATION PROJECT, COASTAL CLEAN UP AND OUTREACH PROGRAM

Mangrove reforestation project on a 1 hectare coastline situated at Bgy. old Caaluan, Tinambac Camarines Sur. The members of Boy Scouts of the Philippines Bagacay National High School Outfit 723 are tasked to plant Mangrove propagules in support to the world scout environment program in partnership with Local Government Unit of Bgy. Old Caaluan and BSP Camarines Sur Council Philippines. Followed by Coastal Clean Up Drive were scouts are tasked to removed plastic garbage wrapped around the roots and stems of mangrove. The last part of the activity was an outreach program were scouts perform a simple program for the kids and gave them with school supplies. Adult beneficiary was given a pack with rice, noodles and used clothings. A total of 2500 mangrove propagules was planted during the activity.
