Mangrove Products Exploration & Embellish PIFWA Small Mangrove Education Centre

PIFWANITA was established on 10 March 2013 and it is a women activities group attached to PIFWA (Penang Inshore Fishermen Welfare Association). The establishment of this group is to allowed wives of PIFWA members (majority are men) to be able to multiplying activities in the centre and also strengthening women power in mangrove trees conservation program. The objective of Activities were to identify products from mangrove forest to be used for food supply, to identify products from mangrove forest to be used for commercialize, to expose PIFWANITA activities on major press by inviting Reporter to have a special coverage and also to embellish the environment of Small Mangrove Education Center. We had been introduced to many types of mangrove product such as fried Paku Midin, Jeruju Tea, Buah Bakau Putih and so on. On the next day, The team rode set up a shade canopy in front of Small Mangrove Education and start to design on the wall by sketching on wall using pencil. Artwork on the wall is this project logo. After the sketch on the wall had done, the team mixing for the paint and start to paint on the wall. Before painting started, the wall was cleaned up so that colour will stick on wall properly. Multiple colour used to paint on the wall. At the end,the S.O.S. logo had been drawn on frontage of PIFWA Small Mangrove Education Centre.
