LLC & YRE best practices for Earth Tribe.
Greek Scouts were on the final stage of implementing Earth Tribe in Greece. The collaboration with LLC & YRE programmes, would add new elements of interest for young members taking the path “Advocate for Better Choices for the Environment” on their journey in Earth Tribe. This project was planned to prioritize the involvement of Adult Leaders, getting knowledge and tools to support young members in their Earth Tribe journey.
Adult Leaders attended the “Earth Tribe Supporters” Workshop to get knowledge, tools, ideas and inspiration from LLC, to support young members during their Earth Tribe journey.
The activity “Less Litter – our neighborhood and us” was planned to inspire young members to take action for the litter habits, sharing it by using LLC tools and method.
At the open kick off event for ET and LLC collaboration, the first “Earth Tribe Units” and “Earth Tribe Supporters” in Greece were also presented.
As this project was the first approach of ET & LLC, most people involved Young Scout Members – 122 and Adult Leaders 87. The biggest impact will be in our NSO for all Young Members and Adult Leaders. Through ET local projects, our young members will plan and participate in, will interact with and contribute widely in the community.
As this project was the first step for the Earth Tribe Journey in Greece, we experienced the impact the Earth Tribe initiative can have, not only to young Scout members and Adult Leaders in our NSO but also our Community members.
Motivating young people by providing them tools and methods to act in their community, leads them to follow and reach their own goals.
Best practices form LLC and YRE, support young people and Adult Leaders to understand how to follow ET paths.
