Nagar, TP Scheme Rd, Kamaraj Colony, Tondiarpet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600081 Literacy is a fundamental human right and the foundation for lifelong learning. It is fully essential to social and human development in its ability to transform lives,Literacy India has clearly set the three E’s as its goal on a process of achieving in next decade i.e., Education, Empowerment and Employment. First we concentrated on the adults who were not literate and also working women who faces problem in their working environment , we had invited an adults members from that locality . Few were interested and registered their names first we started as the part of rashtrapathi project but the response we received from them had encouraged us to teach more, day by day we saw their improvement . They treated us like their family members sharing all their happiness experienced every day. Apart from teaching others its something which really touch our heart that we were also contributing something to the society at this age. Secondly we Identify young boys from under privileged backgrounds and help build their confidence and awareness • To support children in active schooling to provide minimum levels of learning. • Provide children with vocational skills. • Our focus is also to economically empower children s from slum areas. > Guiding the children s and clearing their doubts > regularly checking their homework are properly completed > encouraging them by giving moral support
