Lending hand to young students. and sharing peace

Due to the pandemics and the crisis in Sri Lanka young children in rural villages tends to give up on education, So I wanted to motivate young children. I wanted to take the message of Scouting to rural areas of my country. My Scout master, District coordinator and priests of our temple motivated me to do this task .My parents and members in my Rover crew motivated and helped me to complete this task.
The event took place in a rural village named "Wewalagama" in Kurunegala district of Sri Lanka on 18/01/2023. After the inception I planned the program and took permissions from the relevant parties and I got contact with the principal of the rural school and asked their requirements. I was able to gather the equipment easily with the help of my Rover crew and temple. We spoke with priest of the temple, Father of the church and moulavi of the mosque and arranged the necessary equipment.
Over 120 children in the school received a set of educational equipment and they showed us their talents as well. over 40 villagers around gathered there to share their thoughts with us and we were able to deliver them the message of peace by showing Buddhist clergy and Catholic fathers and all other religions and races live in peace and harmony within my program. 10 cub Scout uniforms were distributed among children and I took the initiative step to start a new scout group in this school.
I personally learned how to manage a project and how to deal with different kind of people. I was able to understand the thoughts and feelings of the people who live in rural areas of my country. my conclusion is, if we unite together without considering religion, colors or races we can make the Earth a better place.
