Bartsham Central School, Trashigang celebrated International Peace Day with the Theme “Together for Peace: Respect, Safety and Dignity for All” with 297 participants (252 students and 45 staff). The Day started with the speech about the day from the student representative and by one scout master. All the participants took oath to maintain peace throughout the life and then sweets were distributed. During afternoon session, scout masters trained as Desuup (De-sung is the program initiated by His Majesty the king, Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuk to combat the natural disasters) along with other Bartsham Desuup trained whole participants about how to improvise stretchers and fight fire using fire extinguisher in case of emergency.
