International Day of Peace

<b>To mark international day of peace at the school level<b>

Everyone gathered in the hall for the celebration. Welcome address was done by the school’s counselor. Then we had “Hands of Peace” where organizing team had asked participants to come forward to have their hands prints in a piece of while cloth.

Then we had “Youth Speech for Peace” whereby a student had delivered a speech on importance of observing the day. The speaker was Dorji Tshoki. She highlighted on international day of peace-climate action for peace.

We also had some dances. Next, What PEACE MEANS TO YOU? Students and staffs were asked about what peace mean to them. A team of students also staged a short play on the theme: Be at Peace not in Pieces.

Peace Pledge: About 10 participants including staff in delivering peace pledge.

Peace Rally: All Nazhoen scouts, dayscholar students and UNESCO students had peace rally. We travelled to and fro to Tingtibi, Trong Gewog centre.

Finally an advocacy on Mental Health and No Separate Families was done by participants of Urban Tour who went to Thimphu during midterm break. We also did mass cleaning and footpath grass cutting as the community service.

        

Finally we had our lunch at Trong gewog centre with some cultural items being performed by scouts.
