Greening out Bhutan throught collective afford.

On 2nd June, 2016, coinciding with the coronation of the His Majesty the great fourth, Bhutan celebrate it as, Social Forestry Day. Zhemgang Central School joins the nation in celebrating the special day with a subtle contribution to green environment. Knowing the vitality of the day and forest in particular, the faculty of Zhegang Central School headed by the principal, 55 staff 44 scouts and 140 students took part in planting 230 saplings and 40 bamboo shoots in an around the school ambience. The school aims to beautify it’s surroundings but also to meet the sacred provisions of maintaining 60% of forest cover for all time to come. This small step on this day however will be a global journey in combating climate change and maintaining rich biodiversity. These sorts of global thoughts and local acts will be alsways continued at school for that will eventually contribute to ginormous leap at larger scale.
