Today we created history in deciding to create a home gardening project in our 5 cluster schools - Lomolomo Primary School, Vuda District School, Dreketi Sangam School, Gurukul Primary School and Viseisei Primary School where by Viseisei Sai Health Centre will fund the project. The centre medical coordinator - Mr. Rusiate Tora will be providing the vegetable seedlings to the scout of these 5 schools to develop backyard home gardening. This initiative will also make parents involve in growing fresh food and combating the increase of NCDs in Fiji. This will be a pilot project for Fiji and upon its success, we will spread to other parts of Lautoka and Fiji respectively. In addition, we also create history by awarding the scouts with a proficiency badge each -GREEN SCOUT BADGE...Bravo !
