The Heavy Rain most of the areas around the Kalaniya river was been flooded and the rain continued for more than 7 days and the Wellampitiya, Kotigawatta, Kalaniya, Kaduwela, Hanwella areas were been under flood for more than 8 days. Due to this more than 500 families were been effected. Scouts of Colombo District had visited the Flood affected areas to help them to clean their premises. Scouts of Colombo District Scouts troops visited to Gothatuwa Maha vidyalaya & had cleaned the School Premises. This Cleaning project was initiated by Colombo District & scouts actively participated. Cleaning equipments and the liquids were also been arranged by the District organizers. Also Scouts had collected dry rations and distributed in Kaduwela area. Helping the needy at the time of need is the best action as a messengers of peace. Scouts kept up to their promise to help others at all times.
