Fatima Aliyeva is one of the active members of Association of Scouts of Azerbaijan . Now she is in the USA as a FLEX 2018 student , also continuing scouting and joined to 2018 Wood Badge Spring Training . We want to celebrate her and wish more success in life and scouting ... Fatima Aliyeva : " That’s note a code, but the name of my biggest Dream! As all scouts I was dreaming about Wood Badge, and coming to USA with the help of FLEX program I put it into head of my list. I had my first meeting and made presentation for my Venture Crew And Troop 8 on October 2017. I’ve shared about my goals and plans as well and on next meeting I have got an amazing present. Mr. W. Snider announced that I’ve been invited to 2018 Wood Badge Spring Training on full scholarship! BSA Southern Region, Indian Nations Council and Mr. W. Snider made me unbelievably happy! Just can’t discribe how touching it was. Wood Badge is a Scouting leadership programme and the related award for adult leaders in the programmes of Scout associations throughout the world. Wood Badge courses aim to make Scouters better leaders by teaching advanced leadership skills, and by creating a bond and commitment to the Scout movement. During both weekends of training in April and May 2018 I’ve got an amazing experience and met many great people. Now there is a long way ahead with hard work in my main goals for WB. Being the first representative of Association of Scouts of Azerbaijan working on this way add much more different feeling of responsibilty and honor. I’d like to say GREAT THANKS to our District Commissioner Mr. William Snider, Program Director Mr. Michael Holdgrafer, SPL (Senior Patrol Leader) Mr. Jason Champion, Patrol Instructor Mr. Patrick Hamilton, my first scout Leader Mr. Ilyas Ismayilli, all sisters and brothers in scouting, my both families and everybody who made my dream come true with their support, care and love.
