Emergency response to the Hurricane in Libya
As a result of the hurricane that hit many areas in Libya (Al-Bayda - Derna - Sousse) and resulted in major human and material damage, the Boy Scouts and Girls Guides of Libya seeks to make recovery efforts during and after this major humanitarian disaster in the country, causing disability and human losses of victims displaced and missing people.
Through Provided support in all possible ways to those affected by the storm/hurricane to mitigate the negative impact in all its forms:
1- Scout convoys to relieve and support those affected by the storm/hurricane.
2- Supporting and equipping shelter centers for missing and affected people.
3- Supporting and equipping shelter centers for missing and affected people.
4- Psychological support for children
5- Supporting the process of Finding and Rescuing Missing Persons
Through this experience and other previous experiences, it becomes evident that the scouts are committed to engaging in any crisis, whether natural or humanitarian. However, as scouts, we are not fully prepared through our programs and training materials to deal with managing these crises in a well-thought-out manner with widespread work committees across the country's geography.
