Elaboration of the “Youth Program”

After an undertaken analysis of the last 20 years of activity of the NSA Moldova, but also taking in account the continuous metamorphosis of young people, based on the principles and necessities, the idea of a youth program have arisen appropriate to develop , which was realized on the period of 24- 26 June, part of the Project „Messengers of Peace” of the National Scout Association of Moldova- „Scout Update”. During the session a wide range of subjects were considered and discussed, in the semantic area of the youth notion, and directly linked to the Scout Method. Similarly, following thoroughly the traditional approaches and updates of Youth Program in the Scout Movement, a feasible scheme for an analogical program for NSA Moldova was created, a deatail that missed in our association by now . During 3 days, there was an intense work on the content of the Programme, drawning up as a parallel to the needs and interests of today's youth in Moldova, also the educational offer of the method, involving the age sections. The themes that have triggered tumultuous discussions included: the efficiency of the structures of NSAM and the evaluation of their applicability, estabilishing the need of change in programmes or organizational elements, adapted to the demands of society, synchronization with current trends, promoted by the World Scout Movement, especially the continuity of the program and the establishment of the final and intermediate educational objectives. The pillar of the entire session was Nikolay Akatov (Strategic Planning and Internal Regulations Coordinator- World Scout Bureau Eurasia Support Centre), which was the moderator of the event. Mr. Akatov has realized a master class in counseling of the Youth Program, indirectly performing a meta analysis of the situation in NSAM, while highlighting the subtilities and possible obstacles that may also be found in the plan making. At the event were present also Doina Postica (Director, Youth Programs and Adult Resources), Valentina Ursu (Coordinator of the working group “Youth Program and educational methods), Iurie Emilian (Regional Director), Iosif Moldovanu (Expert from Moldova on the Non-formal Education), 19 delegates from scout groups, which will constitute the working group on Youth Program of NSAM and members of the Board. Other sessions will follow the work of the newly formed team, shortly after a training period,requested for completing some homework tasks.
