Education, Healing, and Hope Through Scouting

I was motivated after witnessing the suffering of children displaced by violent attacks in Zaki-Biam, Benue State. Many had lost their homes, parents, and access to school. Seeing children in IDP camps without learning or hope pushed me to act. My goal was to use Scouting to restore education, healing, and a sense of belonging.
The project was implemented at St. Gabriel Parish and later moved to the IDP camp in Zaki-Biam. Trained facilitators delivered education, life skills, and Scout activities. School supplies and creative sessions helped create
I learned that displaced children are resilient when given safe spaces and care. Community support and Scouting activities help children heal and stay engaged. I also learned how World Scouting and its donation platform can support underprivileged children effectively.
