Subhas Scout Group of ICF District Bharat Scouts and Guides has celebrated Earth Hour for the past four years and since this year is the Centenary year of Cub Scouting, we celebrated with the Cubs. The Earth Hour program was organised by Shri. D. Udayakumar SM in the presence of Shri. V. Arivazhagan GLS, Shri. S. Baharudeen RSL, Shri. Sridhar CM, Shri. Akbar Sheriff ARSL and Shri. Parthiban ACM which was headed by Shri. A. Veeramani Project Coordinator at ICF District Headquarters on the eve of 19th March 2016. 9 Cubs, 20 Scouts, 4 Rovers and 6 Scouters participated in the celebration. Poster Making on Earth Hour has been conducted for the Cubs and Group Discussion on Energy Conservation was conducted for the Scouts and Rovers. All the participants had taken pledge that 'They will Switch Off all nonessential lights beyond the Earth Hour and Go Solar'. Certificates has been issued to all the participants which was signed by the World Wide Fund Senior Education Officer for taking part in the campaign.
