Donating Educational Equipment
Education and Knowledge are very important to an individual. But many students in rural schools do not have facilities to learn. Therefore, we organized a project to donate a cupboard with books and a computer to the library of Alakoladeniya Kanishta Vidyalaya.
This project was implemented at Alakoladeniya Kanishta Vidyalaya. This project was organized under the leadership of our Senior Scout, Bimsara Ranawella, and under the guidance of our School Scout Masters. We visited the school along with the newly bought cupboard and books and the computer and handed over them to the Principal of Alakoladeniya Kanishta Vidyalaya. And also we color washed the school's library.
Books for a library and a computer for a school are very important because with the development of technology students too should develop. So this donation will bring a fresh attitude for students to read and also will be an opportunity for all students at Alakoladeniya Kanishta Vidyalaya.
Through this project, we learned that, Though Education is a basic need for an individual. There are many students in rural areas without facilities. So we should help them as we can. And also we developed our teamwork and leadership qualities.
