Donate blood & Save Life

World Blood Donor Day is celebrated every year by people around the world on June 14. It is celebrated on the birthday anniversary of Karl Landsteiner on June 14, 1868. Landsteiner was awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery of the ABO blood group system. On this day Bhagat Singh Rover Crew from N.F.Railway, Alipurduar District Association participated to donate blood on a third party Social work organisation named Indian Red cross Society.

On the day of 14/06/22 the members of our crew going to Sobdo office, Alipurduar court, for blood donation Total 4 number of Rovers of our crew donate blood, and other members gave render service like( arrangements, Triffin's distribution etc.)

With this activity all the peoples of Alipurduar came to know about Scouts participation in this great work, because one of our principal is "Duty to Others". And there is no greater work for human beings than Blood Donation. After doing this we also feel proud of ourselves.

Blood is a necessary resource for the planned treatments and the urgent interventions. It is helpful for patients who are suffering from life-threatening conditions for living longer and with a higher quality of life. It supports complex medical and surgical procedures. Not only 14 June we have to give blood on a regular basis of 'creating a better world'.
