Dettol Clean Dhaka Campaign - Guiness World Record
A total of 9,021 people (968 Scouts and Rovers of Bangladesh Scouts) registered for the event titled 'Dettol Clean Dhaka' campaign, jointly organised by Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Reckitt Benckiser Group on April 13, 2018, for building awareness among the Dhaka residents on cleanliness and hygiene.
I was inspired to join the project because our City CorporatioN mayor announced it as a world record program so I wanted to be a part of it as well.
The registration for participants in the sweeping programme started around 7:00 am at Nagar Bhaban.
The sweeping programme, led by the DSCC mayor, started from Golapshah Mazar in Gulistan and ended at the Paltan area in the capital.
This initiative was taken to create awareness among people that practising hygiene should not be limited to personal life only; rather it should be practised at a community level to build a clean city.
Over 15000 people join Dhaka cleaning campaign to set Guinness World Record. So I learned a lot about keeping the city clean and met a lot of new peopel in this journey. Being part of a Guiness Record was really proud moment.
