Community Involvement Centers: Phase 2

The objective of this project is to move forward to Phase 2 of our Community Involvement Centers project. Finding ourselves in this critical socio-economic context that many families in Argentina live in, is that as a Civil Society Organization we are putting ourselves at the need of our country once again. Phase 2 consists in carrying out JOB TRAINING WORKSHOPS, generating opportunities for the development of adults and young people.

This project is implemented with scouts and non scouts from different social communities, geographically distributed in 8 locations in Argentina: Córdoba Capital (Córdoba Province), Mar del Plata (Buenos Aires Province), Bahía Blanca (Buenos Aires Province), Morón (Buenos Aires Province), Liniers (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires), Rio Grande (Tierra del Fuego) and Rosario (Santa Fe Province).

So far, these workshops aim to provide basic tools so that the people who participate, acquire skills, find their area of expertise, leverage their competencies that allow them to elevate their economic entrepreneurship, access a specific career path, re-enter the working world and strengthen the work culture with scouting values. These 8 workshops are being carried out focusing on the neighborhoods' needs and participants' backgrounds, impacting on already 1000 beneficiaries.

We have improved our monitoring system. Participants' and beneficiaries' opinions are very important to us. One improvement we are adding in this Phase, is that in this process we will record and register systematically their enthusiasm, expectations, fears and collect life stories. They will have the voice, the safe space and the opportunity to give their feedback on the development of the job training workshops and any activity they participate in, to improve in the following ones.
