CLimate Change Awareness Program
The project was inspired by the growing impact of climate change on our environment and the need to create awareness among school students about its causes, consequences, and preventive measures. We wanted to encourage young minds to adopt eco-friendly practices, conserve natural resources, reduce pollution, and become responsible citizens.
Scouts took part in the climate change awareness initiative at Government Higher Secondary School, Melathur, Somangalam. They interacted with school students, explained the causes and effects of climate change, and highlighted practical solutions such as tree planting, waste reduction, energy conservation, and sustainable living. The initiative encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits and contribute towards environmental protection and a greener future.
Through this project, we learned the importance of environmental awareness, teamwork, leadership, and community engagement. Interacting with school students helped us develop communication skills and understand the need to educate young minds about climate change. We realized that small actions, such as conserving energy, reducing waste, and planting trees, can create a significant impact towards building a sustainable future.
