Cleans drive at sonamarg
*Mega Cleanliness Drive from Sonamarg to Baltal, J&K SBSG assist CM's Grievance Cell*
Ganderbal, Oct 19: The volunteers of The J&K State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Ganderbal collaborated the mega cleanliness drive conducted by the J&K Chief Minister's Grievance Cell today at famous tourist resort Sonamarg.
60 Scouts from J&K Sainik School Manasbal, registered with J&K SBSG, Ganderbal, lead by the PRO, Shah Aijaz discharged their duties along the national highway and river bank at Sonamarg. The volunteers collected and properly disposed off large quantity of the non biodegradable items like polythene, plastic bags, plastic bottles etc.
The team took off from Mini Secretariat complex early at 07:00 a.m and reached Sonamarg at around 9:00 a.m. They were given necessary cleaning and collection equipments by the event management and the work began.
The Scouts did their best to clean the hotel yards, river banks and the road stretch from Sonamarg market upto the Youth Hostel.
The volunteers were served with refreshment and tea by the organisers (CM Grievance Cell, Srinagar). Coordinator Grievance Cell, Mufti Tasaduq had actually organised the mega cleanliness drive and he personally visited and inspected the cleanliness from Sonamarg to Baltal.
