A CLEANLINESS DRIVE IN THE VICINITY

The city of Bangalore was known to be a garden city. But due to large scale urbanisation, the city is prone to plastic dumping at public places. The animal community consumes them and this leads to further medical complications. The plastic being non-biodegradable also harms the soil and surrounding inhabitants. Hence I made a concentrated effort towards cleaning and collecting plastic waste in the vicinity.
The Project was conducted in the State Scout Headquarters. The project involved identification of plastic hotspots in and around the vicinity. It was followed by dividing ourselves into teams in order to collect plastic waste and dispose it in a responsible manner. The project was conducted post securing plastic bags and prior permission from the concerned authorities of the region.
The project will in turn lay a profound positive impact on the biodiversity of the region. The plastic collected will in turn prevent soil degradation and contamination in the place. It will prevent the animal life of the region from consuming toxic plastic materials and other benefactory effects on them. The region filled with trees and other plant species will be unaffected as a result of lack of plastic.
The project in turn inoculated me with a dose of robust cleanliness. The project portrayed that the significance of plastic collection and additionally thought me to educate individuals pertaining the correct methods of plastic disposal. The project thought me about the spirit of teamwork. The project taught us about the need to shoulder responsibilities towards forming a better environment and society.
