Cleaning Campaign at Jigme Village

On 11 June 2017, one day cleaning campaign was organised at Jigme village, under Samtse Dzongkhag. People from about 70 households of the village has participated for a day long (800hr to 1500 hr) cleaning campaign. The campaign started in the morning at 800 hours, the campaign mainly focused on: * clearing bushes along the road * clearing and cleaning the drain *picking the papers, plastics, bottles, etc., along the road The road about the stretched of 3 km was thoroughly cleaned, drain was once again brought back to the original face and waste along the road were picked up and burned in the pit. This campaign was primarily aimed to instil the value of "green surrounding, green inhabitants". A day long campaign came to end exactly at 1500 hours.
