On 9 December 2016, as the nation move forward to achieve another milestone of making the Bhutan the cleanest country with first ever nationwide cleaning campaign. The people of Jigme, Singye and Wangchuck villages joined the nation in cleaning the nation to fulfill the His Majesty’s vision of making the Bhutan – the cleanest country and to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of His Majesty King’s ascension to the golden throne. The people of these three villages for the first time came together to observe this day and to rededicate themselves to serve the Tsa-Wa-Sum. On this day, the people shared the common ideology – the cleanliness is the sources of peace, tranquility, happiness, harmony and wisdom to link them to godliness. This noble and notable act shows the togetherness, existence of family values and the simple act of messenger of peace. This act is the only greatest gift that the people can give to the king. They cleaned all the footpaths, roads, water sources, public centers and made their villages far better to live and breathe than what they had. Though the sum of this small act of cleaning the places cannot equate the philanthropy shown by our king for the last decade of reign, they still feel satisfied with the small way in which they have shown the respect and dedication to their beloved monarch. They promised themselves to be the ambassador cleanliness to prevail the peace and happiness in the community, country and the world at large.
