Clean Environment for Future

The fact that Scouts does a lot of adventurous and social service work, motivated me to take up this first task as a scout in Bhutan. I was always motivated to work for the society and this cleaning program was a great opportunity for me to work for the betterment of the community.
We were a group of 35 students from RTC (Royal Thimphu College). We started by cleaning the parking area outside our college. Then we cleaned the whole road till the public waste disposal area.
This project was a cleaning campaign, so the whole community (around 70 people) living nearby would be benefitted as the street was cleared of all the waste. It also revived the aesthetic beauty of the place and increased our groups team spirit.
I learnt about team work and that as a team we can accomplish many great tasks. I also learnt that doing work for the betterment of the society makes me happy. Trying to involve more people for these kind of projects would be very effective.
