Champions for Nature National Challenge
We wanted to raise awareness on the environmental issues in our community and we wanted to help the people who reside in our local nature reserve.
We completed Scouts South Africa's National Challenge. Which is a challenge based on the SDGs that is given to the scouts. We carried out litter cleanups and planted indigenous trees, as well as raised awareness of environmental issues. We have not worked every day from the start, however, the projects started from May of this year.
We learnt about the biodiversity within our local nature reserve as well as learning about the people who live there and the importance of keeping their space clean.
